A Good Reed is a saxophone quartet available to play for weddings, corporate & private functions and both formal and educational recitals.
Apart from saxophones, they also play flutes and clarinets which makes them the ideal group to book for your event. Whether you’re looking for the gentlest of backgrounds through your wedding breakfast or toe-tapping entertainment while drinks & canapes are served for the launch of your new product.

Weddings
Wedding Ceremony
Live music provides the perfect, memorable setting for the wedding ceremony. The musicians will put guests at ease with background music as they arrive, play a piece for the entrance, and provide music during the signing of the register and for the couple’s exit. Their repertoire ranges from classical to jazz, and they are also happy to accompany hymns in a church service.
Drinks Reception
Live music is a perfect way to keep guests entertained while they enjoy a drink and while photographs are being taken. If the weather is nice and the venue permits, the musicians are happy to move outside.
Wedding Breakfast
The musicians can keep the guests entertained throughout the wedding breakfast with background music. They can play saxophones or switch to flutes and clarinets for a gentler background. The group is versatile and strives to create the right atmosphere for the perfect day. They are happy to discuss requirements and liaise with couples in the months leading up to their wedding day.
Functions
The saxophone quartet offers an innovative and unique way to launch a new product or entertain clients. The group prides itself on adding a new dynamic to any event with a wide variety of musical styles, including pop, jazz, and light classics. They can also play a special themed song or a medley of specific songs upon request.
Educational Recitals
In addition to being professional musicians, the members of A Good Reed are also experienced music teachers. They can provide tailored educational recitals for schools and other settings, designed to align with specific Key Stages of the National Curriculum.
The group can also lead masterclasses for school orchestras or wind groups, culminating in a final performance. For schools looking to promote woodwind lessons, the musicians offer an interactive recital where students can try playing flutes, clarinets, and saxophones.
