Esther
Esther is an avant-garde jazz singer from London drawing her inspiration from the extravagance and joie de vivre of the 1930s big band era and fusing it with a refreshing 21st century twist.
Coining the style “Neo-Swing /Jazz”, the essence is the driving piano and Esther’s sultry tones, echoing of a retro era with modern, sleek production.
Her dramatic demeanour draws inspiration from vintage pin-up models, bucking the trend with burlesque inspired attire and classic, vintage style.
A classically trained musician since the age of four, Esther was quick to develop a flair for music and song writing. Her family fed her enthusiasm for music, nurturing her exploration of different musical styles.
However, it is within the 1930s style venues, which attract only the crème de la crème of retro scenesters, that Miss Esther feels most at home and allows her inner glamour kitten to pour out onto the stage.
Esther joined the star-studded line-up for American impresario David Gest’s UK tour, befriending and worked alongside an array of inspiring musicians including; The Temptations, Percy Sledge, Billy Paul, and Ben E King. “I got to showcase my music to all these artists – all showering me with rave reviews”
As a known singer and style icon, Esther has featured in many streams of media, film, television and magazines, denoting her steady rise to fame.
