Electric Minds are excited to have secured Ilija Rudman’s services for their 8th release.  Ilija’s repertoire is already extensive having had his productions released on labels such as Rong Music, Infant/2020 Vision, Compost, Love is War, Bear Funk and of course his own label Red Music which he runs from his base in Croatia.  His work has been recognised by Industry greats such has Greg Wilson who commissioned his remix skills for his “After Midnight” track as well as rave reviews in magazines such as IDJ, DJ Mag & Mixmag.
Ilija delivers two deep house disco tracks for Electric Minds.  The A side “Ocean Colour” is reminiscent of Metro Area’s early work and delivers a driving bass line with added synths.  For the B side Ilija thuns out his remix skills on Chaz Jankel’s “You’re Too Funky”.  After hearing Yam Who?’s original version Ilija asked to remix this track and provide a double A side release.   The remix brings a deep house flavor to Chaz’s track with Ilija’s newly created bass line and added synths over the chorus.

A night of gorgeous Christmassy jazz (”Chestnuts roasting” - you know the sort of thing) on Sunday 14th December.

Andrea will be performing with the impossibly talented Nathan Hassall (saxophone), Ben Bastin (bass) and Paolo Losi (piano) at the Players Bar, under The Arches, Villiers Street, WC2N 6NG. Which is slap bang inbetween Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations.

There’s a bar (obviously), a baby grand piano, leather sofas - and also on the bill are fabulous singer/pianist Lourda Collins and Anthony Strong. All profits, collection and raffle money are going to The Children’s Charity.  What’s not to love?!

Doors 6pm, music starts 7pm (we’re on 7.45pm-8.30pm) - and tickets are £8/£4 for students. You can get them by calling 020 87280879 or emailing peterwest@occasionoccasion.com. Or on the door - although they’re selling like hot chestnuts roasting on an open fire, so I recommend getting them in advance.

Joop, we’re not just OK, we are with our heads ‘in the clouds’ of what we have seen and heard yesterday! To say the least. There are already people asking to book Nomy already for next year. I hope this will still be possible in the future. It was WOW! And the surprise act was marvelous, and when mekkie picked up the guitar as well, awesome!
Thank you Joop, for all of this, and as well for the perfect negotiation and living up to the agreement, which not everyone does in the music industry. I have had years of experience with this.

Nevertheless we relaise that we owe our success to our audience and we are taking the position that gigs in our area (Holland, and Belgium) have toremain affordable, so for the coming month of December we have a spectaculair offer.
 
If you are considering booking us, it’s still possible till the end of November, so if you have a date in mind I advise you to ask for an option, which we can keep open for 10 days.

Bomnuri Haimerl, 25 years old, from Germany. (Now living in Austria.)
I’m a pianist. Since 21 years I’m playing the piano by now. Firtsly I began with classic studies (also at University Mozarteum Salzburg), but by the time my interest in jazz improvisation grew such a lot, that I’ve decided to perform it in public.

I’m also a composer - one time for a performance from the artist Kim Young-Hee, and I also have done a recording for a short documentary for the Austrian Broadcasting ORF.
Now I wish you  pleasure during hearing my recordings!
It would be a pleasure for me to have a chance to play in your beautiful city.
